Well if you were at the Centre on Saturday you would have heard that the compressor went down. We called in two companies (Hamilton Smith and Cimco) to assess the situation, and the Board of Directors made the decision to replace the compressor.
Hamilton Smith was there at 7am Monday morning dismantling the old compressor, and have installed a new one. They turned the system on around 4pm today.
Steve Pellerin, our Ice Tech, has been there through it all, and we greatly appreciate his time and dedication to the Centre.
We have initiated a conversation with our insurance broker to see how the equipment can be supported with our insurance policy and will update the membership with any new information.
Unfortunately we were unable to host COSSA at the Centre this week but with the help of the Ennismore Curling Club they were able run the event today.
We are truly blessed to be apart of such a caring curling community!
Curling is CANCELED for Tuesday March 5th. Steve will provide the board with an update on whether or not we can proceed Wednesday.
